NorQuest College has been recognized as having one of the most standout corporate cultures, with its dedication to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) setting it apart from other workplaces. The college is the only post-secondary institution in Canada to receive the award, which was presented by Waterstone, a leading business recruitment firm.
Organizational culture influences how individuals and communities experience NorQuest. Our culture advances our purpose of transforming lives, framed by strategy and intentional values and guided by our touchstones: grow, lead, and contribute. We co-create and integrate our culture with intention, focused on being a purpose-driven employer of choice and an inclusive, anti-racist and decolonized organization.
This award also highlights strengths in the areas of leadership, people development, talent management and corporate social responsibility. NorQuest’s 2030 plan is built on the foundation of “we are who we include,” putting emphasis on the idea that creating a space where everyone is welcome is the key to creating transformative change in the community. NorQuest College has been purposeful in integrating EDI into its long-term goals and vision for the future. This award recognizes the important work that has been done in this area, and how being at the forefront in this space creates positive change and strengthens culture.
“Our success is due to the hard work and dedication of our staff,” says Carolyn Campbell, NorQuest College President and CEO. “We have a remarkable team who transform lives and make a difference in the community and our culture thrives because of them.”
NorQuest is one of the top ten organizations within the Non-Profit & Broader Public Sector category. Ten winners are selected in each of the of the categories annually, for a total of 50 winners. Organizations who are recognized are allowed to reapply for the award every third year.
