As part of our mission to remove barriers to education and transform more lives, we’re reducing tuition fees for Ukrainians fleeing their home country through the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET).
What is CUAET?
CUAET is a government program that provides Ukrainians affected by war in their country a faster, more accelerated pathway to come to Canada as a temporary residence. Under CUAET, Ukrainians can stay in Canada for up to three years. They can also apply for a study or work permit once they enter Canada.
How NorQuest is providing support
NorQuest has a long-standing history of supporting refugees by offering the same tuition fees applied to domestic students. And while Ukrainians coming to Canada through CUAET aren’t entering as refugees, we’re extending the same support.
For the Spring 2024, Fall 2024, Winter 2025 and Spring 2025 terms, Ukrainians can apply for their program of choice and only pay domestic tuition fees. By making education more financially accessible to Ukrainians affected by unfathomable tragedy, NorQuest provides a welcoming and inclusive space where Ukrainian newcomers can build a thriving career while they find safe haven in Canada.
Applying to NorQuest as a Ukrainian newcomer under CUAET
