NorQuest strives to create a vibrant community of inclusivity, equity, and opportunity. Our learners start their educational journey with diverse lived experiences—some of which have created barriers to pursuing higher education.

These campaigns and giving opportunities provide learners with an uplifting and supportive chance to complete their education.

  • 1000 Women

    1000Women is a movement comprised of compassionate leaders, philanthropists, and people committed to supporting gender equity—especially in industries where women are underrepresented.

  • Awards and bursaries

    Awards and bursaries provide financial assistant to learners who wouldn’t otherwise have the means to acquire a post-secondary education. They also inspire students to complete their studies and enter the workforce.

  • Your impact

    The contributions from our donors have helped remove some of the most common barriers learners experience when pursuing and completing their education, including financial limitations, childcare concerns, and access to health and wellness services.

    • Intercultural Child & Family Centre (ICFC)

      The ICFC provides high-quality and culturally responsive child care to the children of NorQuest students, staff, and the general community.

    • Singhmar Centre for Learning (SCFL)

      The SCFL provides a place of belonging for students to learn, study, gather with friends and classmates, and be part of the NorQuest campus community.

    • Centre for Growth and Harmony

      The Centre for Growth and Harmony provides a safe space where learners can seek mental and physical health services from trained and experienced professionals.

  • Brian Hesje

    Brian Hesje, former chair of ATB Financial, is bringing his passion for strategic thinking into a unique learning space at NorQuest College. Thanks to his generous $100,000 gift, the Hesje Strategic Thinking Room provides students with state-of-the-art technology.

  • Blaine LaBonte and Irene Mertz-LaBonte

    In 2018, Blaine LaBonte and Irene Mertz LaBonte honoured NorQuest College with the largest planned gift in its history, naming the college as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy.

  • Oshinique Williams

    When Oshinique Williams first came from Jamaica to Canada, she was approached by other international students at NorQuest College and it made her feel welcome. Immediately, she knew that she wanted to do the same for others.

  • Steven and Day LePoole

    Longtime supporters and friends of NorQuest College, Steven and Day LePoole have stepped forward with a major contribution of $250,000 to Maximizing Opportunities – The NorQuest Campaign.

  • Tammy Kaglik

    Tammy Kaglik knows the true value of an education. It helps people land better jobs and improve their income of course, but also brings wealth in the form of confidence and self-worth. Tammy has those qualities now, but that wasn’t always the case.

  • Natasha Korosi

    Natasha Korosi is a fighter. From homelessness, to mental health issues, to experiencing challenge after challenge in finding a daycare she trusted for her son, Eli Korosi, she discovered ‘the best gift ever’ at NorQuest College.

  • Brett Funk

    What do you get when you combine a health care aide, a licensed practical nurse, and an instructor? An extraordinary champion for Alberta’s health-care system.
