Supporting Exceptionalities and Self-Regulation - CYCD 1005

In this course students will examine the concept of neurodiversity as well as various forms of exceptionalities that may impact young people and families. Students will reflect on different attitudes, values, and approaches towards young people with exceptionalities and develop strategies for supporting all young people in self-regulation. As we discuss the concept that behaviour is communication, students will develop a variety of strategies and skills to support young people to develop positive behaviour.
