This course will examine theories and definitions of community, community organization, and community development in a human rights context. Learners will be introduced to models of self-advocacy at the individual and community level, and develop skills needed to help clients and other community members access the services that address the Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) for newcomers to Canada.Note: Prerequisites: SETT 1010 or completion of NQC CSWK certificate
