Taxi Ambassador

Are you working as a taxi driver? This program will teach you how to have positive interactions with your customers and help you stand out on the job! Gain a new perspective on taxi driving that will grow and transform the company you work for. You will advance your skills over three courses: Conversation Assessment, Customer Service, and Driver Training.

What is Completion certificate

Ministry-approved teaching and learning activities that provide practical training for rapid entry into frontline jobs but do not culminate in a parchment/credential.

What to expect from the program

Learners in this program are existing taxi drivers looking to improve their skills to provide a better customer experience.
Taxi Ambassador consists of three courses:
  • Conversation Assessment: a 30-minute assessment that verifies the student’s English language proficiency meets the requirements outlined by taxi companies.
  • Customer Service: a half-day course that highlights different customer service techniques that will help taxi drivers provide an excellent experience for their customers.
  • Driver Training: a full-day defensive driving course that focuses on safety.

Additional information

This program is restricted to taxi drivers only. All three courses included in the program must be completed to receive the Taxi Ambassador Program certificate.
