Build intercultural knowledge and skills, and prepare to go abroad with NorQuest College’s new global citizenship bootcamp.
This 15-hour program includes a series of workshops and reflections that, within the context of diversity, will strengthen your global experiences and understanding of systemic barriers that underrepresented students face to study and work overseas.
The global citizenship bootcamp is offered to all NorQuest students who wish to prepare for study and work abroad, enhance their global competencies, and improve their competitiveness in the future workplace.
The program will be developed in collaboration with subject matter experts from a wide range of areas focused on transformative impact.

- Intercultural Development Inventory
- Sustainable Development Goals
- Intercultural Competencies and Cross-Communication
- Risk Management and Safety Abroad: Developing Appropriate Safe Travel Reflexes
- Cultural Adaptation and Culture Shock: Develop an understanding of interculturality to optimize experiences
- Career Opportunities when returning to Canada
Guest lectures:
- Culture, Society, and Social Justice in Contemporary Argentina
- Indigenous students and their experience studying and working abroad
- Social Issues and Culture in Kenya
Eligibility criteria:
- Students in credit programs only (part-time or full-time)
- International students are not eligible to receive the honorarium
- Admissions are based on a first come, first serve basis so don't wait!
