Remediation or Return to Practice - XHLT 1050

This synchronous online course is uniquely designed to support the practical nursing student's remediation and/or return to the Practical Nurse Program. The student will have the opportunity to review, practise and apply their knowledge and skills that are required to return to clinical practice. All student services are accessible while enrolled into this course. Upon completion of assigned course work, including a mandatory lab, the student will write a Return to Practice Exam. A minimum grade of 60% must be achieved on this exam as well as achieving 100% on a Safe Medicate Exam before continuing in the program. This assessment test will require Practical Nurse students to apply their knowledge of health assessment, pharmacology, pathophysiology, and information learned from their nursing foundation courses to be successful.
