Practicum/work experience requirements

Practicum hours are met through the student’s paid employment at their DSL3, DSL4, or Long Term Care employer. Students must complete a total of 320 clinical hours at their workplace over the duration of their program.

Employment in DSL1 or DSL2 or homecare

Additional practicum requirements must be met if students are working in a home care agency or supportive living facility that is less than a DSL3, as NorQuest College will have to arrange a secondary clinical placement for the student to meet curriculum requirements. In this case, additional paperwork may be required for admission.
