Courses for September 2024

How long it takes you to complete your program depends on how you would like to learn.  

  • All deliveries include a mandatory in person lab and clinical component, which may be 50% of the number of hours per course. 

  • Full-time status in this program is considered 11 credits or more per academic term. 

Delivery Types 

In person - Edmonton Campus with all theory and lab classes on campus during the week (Mon to Fri) and clinicals in Edmonton and surrounding areas. 

If you attend all of your classes in person, at the Edmonton campus, then you will complete your program in eight months when learning full-time as outlined in the top three tabs on the right side. 

Online w/ in person labs - Edmonton Campus with all theory and lab classes (labs on Fridays and Saturdays) on campus and clinicals in Edmonton and surrounding areas. 

Evening - Edmonton Campus with all theory and lab classes on campus in the evenings and clinicals in Edmonton and surrounding areas. 

Wetaskiwin - Wetaskiwin Campus with all theory and lab classes in the evenings on campus and clinicals in Wetaskiwin and surrounding areas. 

If you prefer to study in the online w/ in person labs delivery, in the evenings, or at our Wetaskiwin campus, it will take you 12 months to complete your studies when learning full-time.  

Courses in this program must be taken in a certain sequence to match Government of Alberta requirements. We have outlined the courses in order for the 8-month completion on the right. Students learning online w/ in person labs (Fall term), in the evening, or in Wetaskiwin will take 3 terms, approximately 12 months.

12 month program completion path (Online (Fall term), Evening and Wetaskiwin deliveries):

Term one: HLTH 1031, HLTH 1032, and HLTH 1034 

Term two: HLTH 1033, HLTH 1550, and HLTH 2016 

Term three: HLTH 2017, HLTH 2550, HLTH 2551, and HLTH 3000 

You must complete nine courses and the Provincial Comprehensive Exam to graduate. The Provincial Comprehensive Exam must be completed within 60 days of the successful completion of HLTH 2551
